KPAC has teamed with Randy Ellsworth to offer Judo at our new facility. Randy has been training, teaching and competing in Judo for 38 years. His Sensei, Chuck King, is 76 years of age and still instructs Judo, Jujitsu and MMA. He started just after WWII. Randy started Judo when he was eight years old and has had the fortune to be able to compete many tournaments since age nine.  He competed in intercollegiate Judo at Central Michigan University as well as both the Canadian and US nationals. Randy has worked all over the world and has had the opportunity to train in Japan, Philippines and other countries.

WHY JUDO?

Many people get involved with our program because they want to increase their awareness, for physical fitness, as a sport, for self-defense, as an art form. Resiliency is enhanced through the values and philosophies taught through the Martial Arts as a faith-based mission. With this in mind, Judo provides an avenue for all ages to participate and accomplish their personal goals.

The instructors and staff encourage family values, improving respect, self confidence, character building, concentration, self control,  a positive attitude, and non-violence, all in a safe, non-threatening environment.

 Program Overview

The program targets and instills protective factors in the students, which are know to enhance resiliency. Resiliency is invulnerability to stressful situations and problems. It is also the ability to bounce back from adversity and adapt successfully.

 Teach Discipline

Martial Arts teaches children how to discipline themselves and shows them how critical a tool discipline is for achieving their desired goals.

 Instill a Sense Of Belonging

A sense of belonging is an integral part of everyone's life.  Combined Force Martial Arts provides a positive atmosphere.

 Set Reachable Goals

Each student will strive for small goals set by the instructor which helps the student realize they actually can succeed. Goal-setting is a very important asset, which will be valuable throughout their lives.

 Create Reflective Individuals

Provide an environment where the children can recognize their insecurities and develop a sense of responsibility toward self and others.

 Increase Family Participation

This is the last but the most important goal. The Martial Arts program focuses on involving the parents and family members in the program's activities. This is a sport where all family members can be involved and participate together.
